Core Focus

Three areas where senior judgment matters most.

The practice is intentionally narrow. Ridhika is not trying to replace accounting, tax, or bookkeeping. She is brought in when the financial question becomes a business decision.

01

Strategic FP&A

Driver-based planning, operating models, forecasting, board metrics, scenario analysis, and the management cadence behind them.

02

AI & R&D Economics

Engineering, cloud, compute, data, product, and technical investment economics for companies where R&D is one of the biggest uses of capital.

03

Capital Allocation

Hiring, runway, GTM investment, infrastructure, CAPEX/OPEX, fundraising, and decisions about where the next dollar should go.

Experience

Hard finance problems, already solved at scale.

Ridhika has operated inside public companies, AI platforms, cloud software, infrastructure, and early-stage businesses. The value to a startup is simple: she has already solved harder versions of the decisions founders and CFOs face as the company scales.

01

Corporate FP&A

Led forecasting, annual planning, long-range planning, executive reporting, and driver-based financial models across complex public-company environments.

Startup translationBuild a planning model the CEO, board, and leadership team can actually operate against.
02

R&D and Product Finance

Managed financial planning across engineering, product, cloud, vendors, and a $150M+ R&D portfolio.

Startup translationKnow what engineering, AI, cloud, and product investment is buying you before the burn compounds.
03

Capital Allocation

Led CAPEX, OPEX, headcount, and cash-governance decisions that contributed to $500M+ in savings and deferrals.

Startup translationDecide how aggressively to hire, spend, or extend runway without guessing.
04

Finance Systems

Implemented and operated planning systems including Anaplan and other enterprise finance tools, improving forecast accuracy and reducing manual reporting.

Startup translationBuild a finance stack that stays lean as the business gets more complex.
05

Board & Investor Readiness

Built board packages, KPI structures, long-range plans, and investor-facing financial narratives across growth-stage and public-company settings.

Startup translationShow investors and directors the operating story clearly before they start asking harder questions.
06

0→1 Finance Buildouts

Built finance and FP&A functions from the ground up, including planning cadence, controls, reporting infrastructure, equity administration, and finance team design.

Startup translationPut the right finance capabilities in place before hiring a full team.
Selected Outcomes
$500M+

Cost savings and deferrals through CAPEX controls, headcount governance, and operating discipline.

$150M+

R&D portfolio oversight across engineering, product, vendors, and cloud infrastructure.

35%

Improvement in forecast accuracy through driver-based planning and finance systems.

20%

Reduction in engineering costs through resourcing and operating-model changes.

Case Studies

Specific problems. Specific operating outcomes.

A closer look at the situations behind the numbers: what the business was facing, what was built, and what changed as a result.

Capital-intensive public company

Capital discipline under scale.

Built CAPEX, OPEX, headcount, and forecasting discipline that contributed to more than $500M in savings and deferrals while improving operating visibility.

AI / SaaS

R&D economics and operating visibility.

Connected engineering resources, cloud spend, vendors, and product investment to financial planning across a $150M+ R&D portfolio.

Early-stage AI

Finance function from zero.

Built planning, pricing support, fundraising materials, controls, equity administration, and 409A readiness for an early-stage AI company.

When to Bring Ridhika In

When the decision gets expensive.

The trigger is not “we need more finance.” The trigger is that a capital, hiring, product, or growth decision is now large enough that getting it wrong materially changes the company.

Hiring 20 more engineers

What does that do to runway, output, and the next financing milestone?

Increasing AI or cloud spend

What happens to gross margin and unit economics as usage grows?

Expanding GTM

Is the company ready to scale sales and marketing, or is the model not proven yet?

Raising the next round

Are the forecast, KPIs, board narrative, and diligence materials investor-ready?

Cutting burn

Where can capital come out without damaging the product or growth engine?

Building the board plan

Can leadership explain the operating model, assumptions, and tradeoffs with confidence?

Engagements

Senior finance capacity around a specific operating need.

Engagements are scoped around the company’s stage, operating complexity, and the decisions leadership needs to make.

6-week sprint

Finance Architecture Sprint

Build or reset the forecast, KPI structure, hiring logic, operating cadence, decision framework, and finance roadmap.

Embedded

Strategic Finance Partner

Executive-level support across operating plans, capital allocation, board preparation, scenario planning, and finance leadership.

Focused project

Capital Decision Sprint

Structured analysis around one consequential decision: hiring, compute, GTM expansion, fundraising, runway, or major resource allocation.

Finance by Stage

The finance function should scale with the company.

Pre-seed does not need an enterprise finance team. Series A does not need founder-led finance. The work changes by stage, and the finance model should change with it.

Pre-Seed

Get the fundamentals right.

Keep finance simple, accurate, and useful enough to support the next financing milestone.

  • Cash and runway
  • Basic revenue model
  • Pricing assumptions
  • Hiring affordability
  • Clean books and cap table
  • Fundraising model
Founder + accounting support + strategic finance as needed
Seed

Build the operating model.

Connect the company’s plan to burn, hiring, unit economics, and the metrics investors will pressure-test.

  • Monthly forecast
  • Hiring plan
  • Unit economics
  • GTM assumptions
  • Board metrics
  • Series A readiness
Fractional strategic finance becomes more valuable here
Series A

Build institutional finance.

Finance starts becoming an operating function, not just a reporting function.

  • Strategic FP&A
  • Capital allocation
  • GTM and R&D finance
  • Board reporting
  • Finance systems
  • AI-enabled workflows
Senior finance leadership + lean internal team + systems leverage
Series B+

Build the team around the system.

Add functional depth without losing the operating discipline established earlier.

  • Finance business partners
  • FP&A
  • Finance systems
  • Accounting leadership
  • Finance intelligence
  • Capital markets readiness
The organization scales, but the decision model stays intact
The principle: these are capabilities, not separate hires. At an early-stage company, one senior finance leader, outsourced accounting, and a modern software stack can cover work that once required a much larger team.
Finance Transformation & AI

Modernize finance without overstating what AI should do.

Ridhika’s focus is practical: improve planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision workflows through stronger systems, automation, and selective use of AI where it improves speed, visibility, or operating leverage.

Planning

Planning & Forecasting

Move from static planning cycles to driver-based models, more responsive scenario analysis, and better executive visibility.

Reporting

Reporting & Decision Workflows

Reduce manual reporting and improve how finance turns operating data into decision-ready information.

Operating model

Finance Operating Model

Clarify which work should be automated, which requires human judgment, and how finance teams should be structured as the company scales.

Point of View

How Ridhika thinks about modern finance.

Experience matters, but so does judgment. These are the principles behind how Ridhika approaches finance inside technology companies.

Principle 01

AI companies should manage compute with the same rigor traditional companies apply to headcount.

Principle 02

The hiring plan is a capital-allocation model, not an HR spreadsheet.

Principle 03

A forecast that finance owns alone is already broken.

Principle 04

AI should eliminate finance work, not financial judgment.
